Robert Thibier was a Parisian interior decorator active from the 1960s, with showrooms on Place de la Madeleine and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Rather than a furniture designer per se, he created geometric wrought iron pieces finished in gold leaf, conceived as “modern antiques” meant to sit alongside European antiques. Some pieces were made in collaboration with his brother Roger Thibier, and signed and numbered accordingly.
